On the heels of that crazy launch in Indonesia, we now have Vodafone UK unveiling the Nokia C3. The first QWERTY keyboard equipped Series 40 device is available for 80 GBP (about $118) on PAYG, and users can grab it in either grey or pink color.
In addition to the mentioned keyboard, the C3 also comes with a QVGA landscape-oriented display, 2-megapixel camera, FM radio with RDS, 3.5mm headset jack, Bluetooth, WiFi connectivity and a microSD memory card slot. Moreover, there is a full suite of S40 apps that include calendar, email and IM clients, media player, web browser and so on.
In a nutshell, the Nokia C3 is the cheapest QWERTY keyboard equipped and WiFi-enabled device available on the market today, hence people (especially in emerging markets) are going all crazy about it. I doubt that kind of a reaction will be repeated for the UK launch, though I do expect Vodafone to move quite a few units…
