There are no doubts in my mind the Samsung Galaxy S is one capable device. As a matter of fact, it’s one of the most desired Android smartphones on the market today, boasting every single bell and whistle you could possibly need. Among its specs, we find HSPA and WiFi connectivity, that gorgeous WVGA Super AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.
So I wasn’t surprised to learn that South Korea’s SK Telecom managed to move 200,000 Galaxy S units in just 10 days! The first 100,000 devices were sold in 6 days and only 4 days later – another 100,000.
In addition to reporting such an impressive figure, SK Telecom has also seen substantial increase in the ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), which again, doesn’t surprises considering all the capabilities included with the Galaxy S.
SKT’s version of the Android smartphone comes with a standard suite of Android apps pre-installed along with local content and apps such as SKT’s T-Store, Kyobo e-book app and more.
