It looks like the iPhone isn’t the only Apple device getting some update love, as the iPad has also received a new iOS version today. If you think this update marks the arrival of iOS 4.0 on the iPad, I regret to inform you that it is, in fact, not 4.0.
The update is for version 3.2.1 and it includes something the iPad has been needing and promised for quite some time: improved Wi-Fi connectivity. That’s not the only improvement, as Apple has also fixed issues with some video playback freezing, improved reliability of video-out, and this latest version of iOS for iPad even adds Bing as an option for Safari’s search field, which has already made an appearance as a search option on the iPhone.
So if you’ve got your iPad within arms reach, hook that sucker up to your computer, fire up iTunes, and get to downloading. And if you’ve got an iPhone as well, why not hook both of them up and have an iDevice update race to the death?! The losing device gets to sit out in the sun for an hour. That’ll show it for being all lazy about updating to the latest iOS!
