Bell’s internal sales portal is prominently showing off the HTC Wildfire, which is a slightly scaled-down version of the Desire coming to Telus. The HTC Wildfire rocks a5 megapixel camera, 3.2″ QVGA touchscreen, Android 2.1 with Sense, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, and an FM tuner. Sense adds a couple of interesting customizations, like getting an exploded view of your homescreen by pinching, kind of like Apple Expose, a home screen widget for combined Twitter and Facebook feeds, and accelerometer-based call handling, so the ringer quiets when the phone’s held upright, and mutes when it’s face down.Between this device, the BlackBerry 9300, and the iPhone 4, it looks like Bell Mobility’s back-to-school lineup will be pretty well-covered.
There are still no clues as to when the Wildfire will be available, but in the meantime, feel free to check out the official HTC Wildfire page over here.
