The Rogers Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has a new sibling. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini has arrived at Rogers for all to see. The mini, which packs Android 1.6 (for now, a rumored upgrade to 2.1 is supposedly coming in Q4), a 2.6″ QVGA touchscreen display (240×320), WiFi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and more, is a compact solution for those that need a fully featured Android device with a smaller footprint.
The overall dimensions on the X10 mini are 80x50x16mm. Not super tiny… but tiny-ish. In addition, it weighs in at a measly 88 grams. It’ll ride light in your pocket, or wherever you want to store it.
Pricing on the Rogers Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini? We’re looking at $29.99 on a 3-year contract, $274.99 on a 2-year contract, $324.99 on a 1-year contract or you can pick up the device for $374.99 outright. Hmmm, you THINK they want to get you locked into that 3-year deal? 😛
At the moment, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini is nowhere to be found on the Rogers website, but I’d look for that to change shortly. I’ve got to say, although I don’t own one or have any plans to, the Xperia X10 (and the new mini) are sharp looking devices… and I know from experience that they work well too. A good bud of mine has the device, and I felt right at home navigating around, checking out his ‘Timescape’ and much more. A solid device for those comfortable with Android, or for those looking to make a change.

Note: After reading this and watching the unboxing video… would you get one? Or is Sony Ericsson simply not your ‘flavor’?
