Are you all a-twitter for the BlackBerry Curve 3G for some reason? We heard it’s coming to Bell August 12, and now we know it’ll be available for $49.95 on a 3-year contract, or $349.99 off contract. Colours will include graphite and fuschia.
The BlackBerry 9300, code-named Kepler once upon a time, is an astoundingly slight upgrade from the BlackBerry 8530. It has the same QVGA display, 2 megapixel camera without flash, OS 5, and 256 MB of RAM. The only difference? You’re now on HSPA 3G as opposed to CDMA. Woo?
Considering the BlackBerry 9800 is probably getting announced next week on AT&T, it would be nice if RIM got a quick OS 6 upgrade available for the 9300 so that both their low and high-end devices were fully modernized, but the last time we heard anything about compatibility, the Curve 3G didn’t sound like it would launch with the new operating system.
Still want to get one regardless? U.S. versions of the 9300 will be coming to T-Mobile and Verizon in due order, likely at similar price points.
