Anyone for some top-notch BlackBerry Theme action? This morning, I stumbled across the latest and greatest from our friends at Elecite. Titled ‘Orion’ (aka the ‘Dream Theme’), was built with the aid and advice of the general theme-going public, via Elecite Labs.
The theme is clean, and features many modes and enhancements to help you squeeze more productivity out of your BlackBerry. There’s a condensed and expanded mode, both of which you can tweak to your needs. Custom signal and battery meters are on-board, in addition to the custom icons found throughout. 8 customizable icons are available for you to swap in and out at a whim… and, it is (of course) wallpaper friendly.
Some key features to keep in mind based on your OS and device:
- OS 4.5 users get calendar with Today. No hiding feature here.
- OS 4.6 users get an additional profiles icon with a clickable Date and/or Time.
- The Storm layout condenses to a two dock slider.
On top of all this goodness, hotkeys are built-in to Orion for Berry users packing a full physical QWERTY. Think of these hotkeys like the ‘Double Function Keyboard’ found in all of HedoneDesign’s themes. Side note: is it just me, or does the Orion title above remind you of the Orion Television Entertainment logo/intro below? As soon as I laid eyes on the image above, I immediately recalled the clip you’re about to see below. Takes me back to my younger years, sitting in the theatre getting ready to watch Tom Hanks in ‘Big’. 🙂 It’s not a copy… but it is… similar 🙂
