When I stumbled across the Adidas ‘Sneaker Phone’ you see here. I knew what I had to do immediately. Write about it. So here we are.
The sneaker phone you see above is actually a knock-off from China, albeit one of the BEST knock-offs I’ve seen in my entire time here on this planet. Named the ‘adidass808’ and hailing from China, the device is a clamshell and features the iconic Adidas striping down the sides. the Adidas logo, and even some Adidas shoe laces on the back of the clamshell. Nice.
Specs? You bet your butt I have specs. The Adidas sneaker phone packs a 2.4″ display (at 240 x 320), a 1.3 megapixel camera, dual SIM card slots, microSD card slot, mini USB, FM radio and removable battery. The battery packs a measly 4 hours of standby time and 3 hours of talk time, for what it’s worth.
Cost-wise, you’ll probably end up dropping about $550 RMB (around $80 USD). Not bad. I’d drop that for the device, and may not even use the darn thing.
If you haven’t seen enough, go ahead and check out some more pictures below. Note the picture of the back side of the phone. It even features a rubberized tread pattern. Very nice touch, very nice.
Note: I wonder of the Sneaker Phone packs a speaker phone? Ugh.
