AlwaysOnPC launched mobile version of its Virtual PC app/service for iOS and Android with more than 40 pre-installed programs including a mobile office suite, image editing software and Flash-enabled Firefox.
Hosted “in da cloud,” AlwaysOnPC offers an encrypted SSH connection to and from all devices supported. For users this means both security and performance for many common tasks — for instance, you can open large files of 100Mb or more from an uploaded file, email attachment or an online storage folder such as Dropbox “up to ten times faster than competing mobile solutions.”
Some other cool features include:
- Ability to copy/paste text and graphics between apps like Office, Firefox, email and photos
- Add browser toolbars like Google or Yahoo!
- Click to open email attachments directly into the office or imaging apps
