So, when Canadian carriers Rogers and Telus announce that they’re going to get the BlackBerry Torch 9800 on September 24, when do you think Bell’s going to get it? Yep, September 24. Like Rogers and AT&T, Bell will be offering the BlackBerry Torch for $199 on contract, so I think it’s safe to assume Telus will be going for something similar, though they haven’t confirmed pricing just yet.
The BlackBerry Torch 9800 has a 3.2″ 480 x 360 capacitive touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi b/g/n, world-roaming HSPA 3G, GPS, and a brand new operating system, which boasts a shiny new UI and universal search. If you’re on Bell already, the Galaxy S Vibrant and its shiny 4″ Super AMOLED display may tempt you (nevermind the iPhone 4), but BlackBerry is always a good choice for those who want to get things done.
Head over to Bell for e-mail updates, but take a look at our BlackBerry Torch 9800 review before buying – you might find something you don’t like.
