A couple of videos that will be loaded on the upcoming BlackBerry Style 9670 clamshell have leaked, showing some basic operations like zooming, home screen navigation, and using the external display. It’s certainly nothing groundbreaking, since we’ve seen BlackBerry 6 run without a touchscreen just fine on the Bold 9700, 9650, and 9780, but the fact that these videos are ready to ship on a device could indicate a launch sometime soon.
From what we’ve seen of the BlackBerry Style 9670, it’ll have a HVGA screen, 624 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, 5 megapixel camera, and of course the new operating system with some UI improvements and universal search. A lot of initial impressions are busting the Style’s chops for a having a wholly inaccurate name, but I have to applaud RIM for at least trying something new in the hardware department, even though the software might be more of the same. The Pearl Flip pretty much bombed, but I definitely found the external display useful during my time with it.
Anyway, here are the videos. What do you think? Anyone on Sprint thinking of getting a BlackBerry Style 9670?
