Karas Kustoms‘ line of iPhone 4 cases have made the pages of IntoMobile before. In fact, I think it wasn’t that long ago that I touched on them. These custom cases are built to last, and are basically made out of metal plates that help not only protect your iPhone, but they help keep your hand from making contact with the antenna… for those that are having ‘antennagate’ issues, the cases (or almost any other case for that matter) could come in handy.
In an update to their iPhone 4 case, some new colors are available. If you didn’t dig the initial offering of silver, black, blue, red, green and violet anodize… you can now get your hands on orange, golf and pink as well! The new options feature an anodized finish as well, and are rugged, to say the least. In addition to the new colors (and if you’re willing to shell out a little more), you can also get your hands on the case in brass or copper. They may not only look a tad classier to you, but they carry extra heft as well, which makes a difference when holding your iPhone in the hand for sure. Karas also mentions that the brass and copper should form a natural ‘patina’. Patina you say? Never heard that about an iPhone case before, but I guess they know what they’re talking about. Over time, they should look pretty darn cool.
At any rate, the original case in the new colors are still available for $39, and the new brass, copper and phenolic offerings are on the pricier side at $89. Both lines are quality, custom made, and feature a unique look that will certainly be a big talking point around any geeky coffee table.
