A company called zGames launched an iPhone game/app called zGhost, allowing users to see ghosts all around them. The application uses augmented reality technology to overlay the camera view with some scary ghosts.
For easier ghost hunting, there’s the radar that helps you find them. In total, there are over 16 different ghosts, as well as the option to “Ghost Yourself” by using a photo from your Gallery. Moreover, the sound is apparently awesome (3D), especially if you’re using earphones.
Finally, there’s the option to share spookiest scenes with your friends on Facebook.
All in all, zGhost is an interesting app and one more way to demonstrate the use of augmented reality. The question is whether it’s worth a buck (99 cents, to be more precise), considering there are so many other (honestly more entertaining) apps in Apple’s AppStore. You’ll definitely get entertained, but not for a long — or at least, me thinks so… AppStore link is below.
