This is just a quick update for the TELUS HTC Desire users out there. If you have one in-hand, you’re probably aware that an update to Android 2.2 ‘Froyo’ was pushed out last week. However, the update was quickly pulled out from under our feet… leaving some scratching our heads.
Thankfully, we’ve read that TELUS has designs on re-launching Android 2.2 for the HTC Desire sometime ‘in the near future in Q4’. True, Q4 could mean anytime from now until the end of the year, but me thinks we should have the update coming to us as early as this week. As always, time will tell.
If you were one of the lucky few to have successfully downloaded and installed Android 2.2 on the device, I’d love to hear from you. With TELUS pulling the update from their servers, one has to wonder what issues came to light late in the game to make them pull the build. If you’re on 2.2, hopefully you’re running smooth as silk… But if you do encounter any issues, be sure to drop us a note here, would love to hear from you.
