Jabra unveiled the second generation of its awesome-looking STONE headset, which as you can see from the image above looks identical to the original device, unveiled a year ago. The difference between the two is under the hood with STONE2 rocking a new Voice System that allows for truly hands-free communication. In other words, you will be able to perform all of the basic tasks without typing on your phone. For instance, to call your mom just say “Call Mom,” to answer an incoming call – “Answer” and to reject a call – say “Ignore.” Moreover, the STONE2 can actually say the names of incoming callers which additionally keeps you focused on the driving (presuming you’re driving at that point).
Now add Jabra apps to the mix and you get a small secretary available at your disposal. You can send and read text messages and emails using your voice, update your Facebook status, listen to radio stations, get local traffic reports, perform local searches and so on.
Like that was the case with the first STONE product, this one is made for select audience. Priced at $129.99, it will find its buyers among the folks who really (think they) need such a stylish headset. That’s starting from November 21st when STONE2 will hit AT&T stores nationwide.
And before I let you go, you may want to know that Jabra’s latest product was recently named an International CES Best of Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree…
