
Cobra Electronics Corporation, the company that makes sure you know where the speed radars are located, wants to make its Cobra iRadar product line closer to the Android smartphone users. In that sense, Cobra will debut Cobra iRadar for Android during the upcoming CES in Las Vegas.
If you’re not familiar with the iRadar system, you should know it uses Bluetooth to connect the smartphone to the detector. The smartphone’s display is then used to control the detector’s settings and show alerts, enabling motorists to view, hear and log alerts for radar/laser guns as well as upcoming speed/red light cameras and other potential hazards.
Cobra iRadar detector will be sold for $169.95, while the Android app will be available as a free download from the Android Market.
