Kyocera RIO is a new all-touchscreen device in Cricket Wireless’ portfolio. It’s a low-end device made for users who really dig touchscreens but don’t want to pay a premium for features they won’t use anyway.

Specs wise, the RIO comes with a 2.8-inch QVGA display, 1.3-megapixel camera, media player, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, optical trackpad, GPS and a microSD memory card slot. In terms of services supported, the phone can sing along Cricket Navigator, Mobile Email and MyBackup. As for the size, it measures 4.13×2.2×0.5 inches and has a weight of 3.17 oz.

Finally – the price. Interested folks could grab the Kyocera RIO for $129.99 in Cricket-branded retail stores, select dealers and through this page on Cricket’s website.

Commenting on the new device launch, Matt Stoiber, VP and general manager of devices at Cricket, said: “The Kyocera RIO is a great complement to our constantly growing device lineup. It provides users with a sleek and sexy full touch multimedia experience. Available right in time for holiday shopping, this mobile phone will make a perfect gift for our customers who are looking for a phone with the latest in device technology at a very affordable price.”
