The good folks at HAND-e-holder sent over their product (along with some awesome accessories) some time ago. Finally, after having the product sit in my office for a bit (perhaps too long), I got off my butt and installed the darn thing on my iPad this weekend… and what I found surprised me.
I have to admit, I was somewhat skeptical of this accessory. Thought it was rather trivial, and couldn’t see a use for it. However, after having used it for a few days now, my opinion is changing. It feels REAL NICE to have total control of your iPad with your hand strapped in on the back of the device. You can hold the device in pretty much any orientation you want, and everything will stay in place. Hold it upside-down, sideways and everything in between. It’ll stay put. Heck, you could go for a jog with the thing strapped to your hand and it would be safe (it would look a tad ridiculous, but you get what I mean… the strap system holds the iPad tight).
Installation of the HAND-e-holder on the back of my iPad was simple. I’ll get into the details during my full review, but all instructions and materials needed are included in the package. Once installed, you can slide your hand right into the strap, tighten it up, and you’re on your way.
Getting back to features, I also enjoyed being able to rotate the iPad a full 360 degrees while barely moving a muscle. The disc system built into the accessory allows you to swivel the iPad to your hearts’ content. Handy for switching from landscape mode to portrait, and back again.
Stay tuned for my full review, coming up real soon here at IntoMobile. For me, it’s ‘so far, so good’… and I’m looking forward to using it some more to form my conclusions.
