Two of the hottest Android smartphones are coming to India – HTC Desire HD and Desire Z. Apparently, the first of the two may hit the major HTC dealers at some point this week, with the latter to follow shortly afterwards.
According to FoneArena, the Desire HD may retail for about 35,000 INR which is a whopping $775. However, that’s still less than what the device currently costs at the grey market – 40,000 INR or almost $900.
Specs wise, both phones run Android 2.2 Froyo with HTC Sense on top of it. Moreover, there’s the HSPA and WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS and a microSD memory card slot. As for the differences, the Desire Z comes with a smaller screen (3.7 inches), full QWERTY keyboard, a bit slower CPU and 5-megapixel camera. The Desire HD on the other hand rocks the super-large 4.3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, new-gen 1GHz Qualcomm CPU and more RAM (768MB).
