I’ve been playing ‘Infinity Blade‘ on my iPad since launch day. Not ‘religiously’, but a fair amount. While the game is truthfully one of the best I’ve played in some time, a little part of me was wishing for some updates… and someone at the developer (Chair Entertainment) must have been listening, because an update is due to hit us next week.
In an interview with the good folks at Joystiq, Chair Entertainment’s Donald Mustard spilled the beans on an update due to hit the action-packed RPG. The update should hit us next week, and will feature five new weapons, five new shields, five new helmets, some new armor, and a new enemy named ‘Marrow Fiend’. Sounds nasty.
By the sounds of things, lots of good stuff is in the works for Infinity Blade. Multiplayer support has to be at the top of my list (and we could see that soon), but in the meantime, we should expect new areas, enemies and weaponry to hit us in future updates.
You can grab your copy of Infinity Blade via the iTunes links below. If you haven’t given it a spin yet… I can honestly say it’s one of the few apps I’ve been happy to spend more than $5 on.
