dotMobi, the company behind the “.mobi” domain, updated its “content mobilization platform” goMobi. There are few cool features included in the update like:
- Support for multiple languages — including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.
- Site Visitor Translation – which allows the mobile site visitors to view a goMobi site in the language of their choice, with 14 languages available.
- Events Calendar – adds ability for goMobi users to publicize their events, like sales or conferences, via an XML feed from Google Calendar. Site visitors on their end can easily add those events into their vCal-compliant device calendars.
- Advanced “Find Us” that shows the direction and distance to a business from the user’s current location. Of course, a GPS-enabled device is required for this to work.
In addition, dotMobi also updated goMobi for its sales partners with support for more languages and improved Administration Tool, which now sports enhanced reporting capabilities with the ability to export data as .csv files.
