
itablet, the Windows 7-powered tablet computer that was first announced back in February 2010, has been officially launched at the CES in Las Vegas. The company behind the product is AHX Global, a joint venture between UK’s X2 Computing and Taiwanese tablet computer designer – AMtek Systems. The two companies are looking to establish retail partnerships to distribute the device across North and South America.
Specs wise, itablet sports a 10.1-inch 1024×600 pixels capacitive touchscreen, 32GB of built-in storage capacity, SD card reader, WiFi connectivity, HDMI output, Atom Z530 1.6GHz processor, 2GB of DDR2 SDRAM, two USB ports, integrated 2-megapixel camera, microphone, while Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium is running the show. In addition, there’s also the itablet model W10 which comes with a slower Intel Atom Z510 1.3GHz processor, 1GB of DDR2 SDRAM and Windows 7 Starter Edition.
