Reminder: Verizon iPhone live blog tomorrow morning!

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting years for: the Verizon iPhone is expected to be announced tomorrow morning in New York City. For years folks have been speculating and predicting a CDMA-based iPhone for Verizon, but it usually ended up in disappointment. Tomorrow, we’re expecting something different. It’s almost all but certain now since news and information on the Verizon iPhone has been leaking faster than the Titanic.

If you’ve been waiting to jump off of the AT&T bandwagon for more stable and reliable service, but you’ve been mercilessly tied down by your love for the iPhone, this could be your moment.

Will the new device bear the same design as the iPhone 4 for AT&T? Most likely. Is it possible that we’ll be surprised by the inclusion of LTE radios? Sure, it’s possible, but the general consensus is that it’s unlikely. I wouldn’t put it past Apple, though. It’s true that the original version of the Apple smartphone launched with just EDGE even though AT&T had already deployed 3G, but for anyone remotely paying attention, the arguments against having 3G in the original iPhone makes more sense than anything anyone can muster up about excluding LTE in the Verizon model. After all, the 3GS had 7.2Mbps HSPA compatibility before AT&T’s network even supported it.

Will it finally be freedom for iPhone lovers miserably stuck with AT&T now that Verizon’s more solid network will be an option? Is it worth paying the cancellation fees to switch carriers and buy a new phone? Will AT&T’s network suddenly become less clogged in the coming weeks?

Before we get too carried away, we just want to remind you that we’ll be at the Verizon event bright and early tomorrow morning, so be sure to stay tuned and set your alarms in the morning when we kick things off! The event begins promptly at 11 a.m. EST, but we’ll start the updates at 9 a.m. just to warm you up. West coast kids, you’ll have to be up at dawn.
