We caught our first real glimpse of the HTC Thunderbolt at CES 2011, and we were pretty impressed with the handset. It’s the typical HTC design: soft edges, thin, soft-touch coating and sleek design. It’s very EVO-esque and features a kick-stand behind the phone to prop it up for watching videos. Additionally, it will come with Android 2.2 Froyo, a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and a 4.3-inch touchscreen – all for the Verizon network. So, when is it coming?
According to a leaked Best Buy screen shot, accessories for the HTC Thunderbolt will be arriving on February 19. That means the handset itself can be expected around the same time or very shortly thereafter. It would make sense if it launched that week, or perhaps even a week later, so that the CDMA iPhone 4 for Verizon doesn’t steal all of HTC’s thunder. Sorry for the bad pun.
