Australian lamb? There's an app for that

Let me quote Homer J. Simpson – “Hmmm…. Lamb.” Sorry veggies, this isn’t an app for you cause it’s all about the meat. One specific kind of meat to be more precise – Australian lamb. I haven’t got the privilege to try it out (though I love lamb), but it definitely sounds tasty.

Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) is the organization behind this project and we love them for allowing us to at least virtually think about the food. Not that we (actually that’s just me) don’t usually do so. 😉

Anyway, the application is designed to “educate foodies, home cooks and the harried shopper on the positive attributes of Australian lamb.” In that sense, expect to find tons of recipes, along with information where to buy the “goods.” Moreover, you can learn on the positive attributes of Australian lamb, read about product’s traceability, sustainability, nutrition and long shelf life.

The recipe finder looks like the “slot machine” using which you can select a popular cut of lamb in the first reel, cooking technique in the second, meal type in the third and then tap to find a suitable recipe. There’s also the “Surprise Me” feature that randomly selects a recipe…

The best part – this delicious app is available as a free download.
