Good news for our readers in Italy – Google’s Nexus S is coming to your shores. The first Android 2.3 Gingerbread running smartphone will be available at some point next month with a price tag of 549 EUR. Carrier partners are unknown at the moment (at least we haven’t heard of any) but we do think all Italian operators will be interested to offer such a popular device.
The Nexus S for Italy will come with pretty much same specs as the U.S. model with a single difference being in the screen — instead of using a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, this version will boast 4-inch Super Clear LCD panel, which also rocks (in case you wonder). Rest of the specs are unchanged and include such things as 5-megapixel camera that’s coupled with VGA camera on the front (for video calls), HSPA and WiFi connectivity, GPS and compass, NFC support, Bluetooth 3.0, 16GB of internal memory and a decent 1500mAh battery…
