A company called Moorit Software launched an updated version (1.1) of its iVeggieGarden iPhone app. We haven’t covered it when it was initially released, but now we decided to give the application some space on IntoMobile.
As you could imagine, iVeggieGarden is all about a vegetable gardening, and is in that sense designed and built on a small farm, to “help vegetable gardeners of all experience levels get more out of their gardens.” Included in the app is the catalog of more than 500 vegetable varieties all with the complete growing information, including planting dates by climate zone, and pest and disease info. Moreover, iVeggieGarden also rocks a shopping list capability; integrated online shopping for seeds; garden planning; tracking of key dates, notes, and photos for each variety in your garden.
The only problem with iVeggieGarden may be its price. At $9.99 it’s not exactly a steal. Then again, there are no similar apps available for your phone — at least I’m not aware of any.
Finally, Moorit Software said it will release an iPad-optimized version of the application, as well as an Android app in the near future.
