Ancestry.com for iPad updated with the ability to share family trees, see old photos and records in detail

Family history resource Ancestry.com updated its iPad app to make it on par with its iPhone offering and to take advantage of the additional screen estate Apple’s tablet offers. In that sense, the new version of the application “brings to life” multi-generational family trees complete with images of original family records and photos. And it’s not just viewing — you can also share your tree with family and friends in an interactive, “highly visual way.”

Using Ancestry.com on your iPad (or iPhone for that matter), it is easy to record memories, edit vital information, document life events and organize photos. On the other hand, you can also conduct field research, collection and documentation — all while on the go. Simply start the app, log in to your Ancestry.com account (or make a new account) and choose a family tree.

Ancestry.com is available as a universal iOS app that will work with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. You can grab it for free from a link below.
