T-Mobile is continuing its trend of offering smartphones at ridiculously low prices – if not for free – with its latest offer. However, this time around all smartphones will be free with a new two-year contract. The deal will only be available on the 11th and 12th of this month.
This Valentine’s day deal may attract a significant amount of people to the Magenta side, even if the Galaxy S 4G isn’t a part of the line up. The T-Mobile G2 and the MyTouch 4G are both great phones, and if you’re considering switching to T-Mobile, these devices that should be on the top of your list.
Another great handset thatjust earned its Froyo badge is the Samsung Vibrant, but the latter HTC devices support Magenta’s HSPA+ 4G network and can achieve speeds up to 14.4 Mbps. The Vibrant can only get 7.2Mbps, so if data speed is something that’s important to you, go with the G2 or MyTouch 4G.
The three mentioned phones are not your only choices, as you have every smartphone in its line up available to you for free with a new contract. The picture above shows only Android devices, but we’re going to go out on a limb and say that the HD7 and BlackBerry devices will also be up for grabs during this promotion.
Could T-Mobile be trying to sway potential Verizon iPhone buyers to come to its network? Possibly, but then again, T-Mobile usually has great deals for not-holidays and what better way to give a double-whammy? Who knows if this effort will allow T-Mobile to grab a lot of customers, but we couldn’t imagine that this deal would hurt.
If you’re in the market for a free smartphone, or you’re just cheap, be sure to head over to your local T-Mobile store on the 11th or 12th to get your pick. If you’re cheap and lazy, Magenta is also offering this deal online, so you don’t have to leave your seat.
Anyone taking advantage of this deal, or are you waiting for the Galaxy S 4G?
