The National Trust launches an Android app, too

After the iPhone application, National Trust is going for the growing army of Android smartphone users. Available as a free download, the app is made to help users find the nearest place to visit in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In total, the National Trust app comes with more than 400 properties, including many of the UK’s favorite coast and countryside locations. You can get directions to these properties, contact them and see any sites that are within a 40 mile radius. Moreover, there are basic information about places, opening times, car parking and directions — all of which should help you better prepare for the trip.

The National Trust Android app relies on a smartphone’s built-in GPS receiver to find places and spaces near you, or helps you look further afield to plan picnic spots, en-route stop-offs or other destinations on trips away from home.

All in all – if you’re looking to organize some picnic anytime soon, click on a link below and take it from there.
