Some quick Android news for the Canadian in the crowd. Our friends at MobileSyrup have it on good authority that the Android 2.2 Froyo-packing Acer Liquid mt will be available tomorrow (Feb. 15th) from Rogers Wireless.
The Rogers Acer Liquid mt features a ‘mocha copper’ color, and truth be told, the thing looks darn sharp. There’s chrome trim and a stainless steel battery door to add to the classy factor as well. Other key specs on the Acer Liquid mt include a 3.6 inch capacitive touchscreen (480 x 800), a 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, 720p HD video recording capabilities, 3.5 mm headset jack, WiFi, Bluetooth, 32 GB of storage… oh, and it packs a Qualcomm 7230 800MHz processor. Nice.
Pricing? We’re looking at $49.99 on a 3-year contract and $399.99 off-contract. Look for the 1-year and 2-year contract prices to fall somewhere in the middle.
Looks like a solid little device for a reasonable price. If you don’t turn your nose up to Android, this could be a very solid performer to have in your personal lineup.
