If you’re an UK citizen (or at least working in the country) looking to grab the HTC Desire S, you’ll be able to do so from quite a few carriers. T-Mobile and Three have already confirmed they will carry HTC’s touch button-rotating Android smartphone and now Vodafone is joining the party, too.
The Big Red carrier lists the Desire S on its “Coming Soon” page with a release date set at April 8th. From the same page we also learn that interested buyers will be able to buy the phone starting from free on a two-year 30 GBP a month contract. That commitment gets you a single-core-powered smartphone with a 3.7-inch Super-LCD WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Qualcomm’s 1GHz Scorpion processor, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and 720p HD video recording capability, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.
In addition to the Desire S, Vodafone UK will also add two other HTC phones to its offering – Wildfire S and Facebook-centric ChaCha.
