Blurb thinks there’s still untapped space in the user-generated media, hence they’ve launched Blurb Mobile for iPhone, allowing users to quickly create stories, featuring photos, videos and audio. Once created, these stories can then be shared via social networks including Facebook and Twitter, or by email.

In other words, Blurb’s idea is to provide users with a simple publishing tool for use cases ranging from sharing a personal moment with friends and family, to a real-time report from a front-line photojournalist covering breaking news.

Prior to publishing, Blurb Mobile allows users to quickly edit their media files, including rotating, cropping, scaling, and drag and drop sequencing, plus geotagging, which can link the story to a location on a map. Moreover, there’s the option to add text and voice captions to every image to create a “complete and highly personalized narrative.”

Blurb Mobile is free to download and each customer receives a story channel on Blurb.com/mobile to share their stories. Additionally, more demanding customers can grab Blurb Mobile Plus which is available as an in-app upgrade and comes with additional photo, video and audio capabilities. All stories can be made public or private.
