Great news for Android smartphone ownin’ festival goers – Orange UK has released the official Glastonbury app in the Android Market. As you can imagine, the application is designed to keep you in the loop with the latest news as well as to help you organize your stay at the festival. To that end, you’ll be able to get a schedule of performances laid out like a TV guide.
Those unfamiliar should know Glastonbury festival is one of the biggest music events in the world. It takes place every year (except – usually – every 5th year) in South West England at Worthy Farm between the small villages of Pilton and Pylle, six miles east of the town of Glastonbury. It is held during last weekend of June (3 days) and tickets are usually sold out within just few hours — this year it took “whole” 4 hours.
In a nutshell, if you planned to party at this year’s Glastonbury festival, you probably already have your tickets. Now you need an accompanying Android app, which fortunately is available as a free download. Hit the link below to get it.
