Last time we talked about Acer’s 7-inch Honeycomb tablet, Iconia Tab A100, it was postponed for the second half of the year. Now someone caught Walmart’s price tag for the device, hinting us that “second half” could be as early as July. Aside from the photo above, we don’t have any other information. We do hope the A100 will keep that price, making for an awesome purchase. If you recall, this tiny (compared to its 10-inch competitors) tablet comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, providing enough horse power to smoothly run Honeycomb. Moreover, there are also two cameras included, as well as 8GB of built-in storage which is further expandable with microSD cards. I presume the $349 “version” is Wi-Fi only, though I could be wrong.
Now we should keep our fingers crossed that Acer and Walmart will deliver on this “promise” and that soon enough we’ll have an affordable tablet option available on the market. Can’t wait. 😉
