With a large partner like Orange, ZTE may actually be able to hit its targets and sell over 80 million phones by the end of this year. The France Telecom’s British subsidiary now lists the ZTE-made Orange Monte Carlo in its “Coming Soon” section. The device in question is actually the ZTE Skate, which we know as a cheap, yet decent Android smartphone. If you remember, we’re talking about a phone that comes with a large 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, while Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread is running the show. In addition, the Monte Carlo will support HD Voice on Orange network.
We’ve no idea how much the carrier will ask for the Skate, but considering the phone is listed as a Pay as you go device, I doubt it will break anyone’s bank. You can sign-up to be notified when Monte Carlo start selling from this page…
