Last time we heard about the Eee Pad Slider, Asus’ British branch said it won’t arrive before autumn (that’s fall on the other side of the pond). Apparently that wasn’t the date for whole of Europe with Asus Poland turning to Facebook to announce that the QWERTY-keyboard equipped tablet will be available to Poles in August. Moreover, the Taiwanese company also unveiled prices for 16 and 32 GB models – 1899 PLN and 2299 PLN, respectively. Translated into U.S. dollars that’s roughly $670 and $810. That’s a lot of money considering Transformer could be yours for less. I guess Asus is testing the market to determine whether tablet users like to carry the full keyboard all the time and whether they’re ready to pay the premium for the benefit. Personally I find the Slider too bulky but I’m also aware some other folks will appreciate its keyboard. Which one do you prefer – Eee Pad Transformer or Slider?
