Confirmed: HTC Evo 3D hitting UK in September

Yep, the HTC Evo 3D has been delayed in the UK as noted by Vodafone, which promptly removed the 3D smartphone from its “Coming soon” pages. The new information comes from Slashgear, which managed to get this statement from HTC:

We can confirm that the HTC EVO 3D will be available to UK customers through Carphone Warehouse from September 2011

No reason was given and we can only speculate it has something to do with the overwhelming demand for LCD touchscreens.

When you think about it, we’re kinda not surprised to see this, considering many of today’s most-wanted phones are still waiting to be launched in some markets. Take the Samsung Galaxy S II for instance – it still hasn’t hit the U.S. market, even though it will most definitely sell like hot cupcakes the minute it’s available.

Anyway, if you live in the UK and you still want to grab the Evo 3D, you can pre-order the device from few phone retailers as described in this post. Of course, you’ll have to wait for September to get HTC’s 3D baby shipped to your door…
