Binatone ReadMe Mobile is an Android-powered e-reader with QWERTY keyboard

Binatone, which is the company behind that super affordable 8-inch tablet we talked about at the end of June, is out with another product – Binatone ReadMe Mobile. The new, somewhat strange lookin’ device, comes with a 7-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) display with full QWERTY keyboard sitting beneath. Moreover, the device also sports Wi-Fi connectivity support, 2GB of built-in storage, while Android 2.1 Éclair is running the show.

However, there is one weird thing about the Binatone ReadMe Mobile – its 7-inch display is not a touchscreen. Rather, you’ll be finding your way around menus and apps using the BlackBerry-like trackpad. We’re not seeing something like this regularly so we gotta give it to Binatone for innovating. This is not to say we like it this way – it’s just to say it’s different.

Finally the price – in case you want this ebook centric device, you’ll have to pour out 129 GBP which is about $212…
