Sharp AQUOS Hybrid 007SH Hello Kitty edition lives in Japan!

Remember the Sharp AQUOS Hybrid 007SH, which as far as we know is the world’s first Android Gingerbread clamshell smartphone? Well it just got better at least if you ask Hello Kitty fans. Yep, it’s now available in pink with that cute cat logo on it.

Aside from the change of color, the specs are unchanged and include such things as a 6.1-megapixel camera, NFC support (for contactless payments), IR port (which is big in Japan), while Android 2.3 Gingerbread is running the show.

Softbank is offering this baby and we’re sure they’ll be able to move quite a few units in record amount of time. And in case you wonder, we’ve no idea where you can get it. You may check eBay, but I’m not sure you’ll be able to actually use the Sharp AQUOS Hybrid 007SH on your local network without some serious hacking. You/we can hope some other handset maker will also team up with Hello Kitty to launch something similar in the Western hemisphere…
