With smartphones getting all the attention these days, luxury phone maker Mobiado decided to test the market for an expensive Android device. Their product, called Mobiado Grand Touch, is actually a version of the Nexus S with special touches that include CNC-machined aluminum or brass plated with gold.
Specs wise, Mobiado’s phone remains identical to the original Google device, with only difference being in the display — instead of rocking Samsung’s Super AMOLED, the Grand Touch comes with Super LCD screen. Rest of the phone’s guts are unchanged and include a single-core 1GHz processor, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, 16GB of built-in storage, while Android 2.3 is running the show.
On the outside, however, things are completely changed with Mobiado’s product sporting either a CNC-machined, aircraft aluminum exterior or a brass body with gold plating. Moreover, there is optional black-painted sapphire crystal in the corners and the same material [sapphire crystal] is also used for the back of the phone, battery door and the few buttons Grand Touch has.
Mobiado’s luxury smartphone is available in six colors: black, black satin, blue, grey, red, and silver, while the Grand Touch GCB (the brass edition) comes in yellow or rose gold…
