4G LTE is all the rage these days, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 looks like it’s going to get a little of that speed treatment, too. In fact, we might even see it unveiled on Monday during Samsung’s Galaxy S 2 unveiling event–unless Hurricane Irene thwarts it and forces a rescheduling of the event. Otherwise, we’ll find out soon enough!
Here’s what SammyHub has to say about this new LTE tablet:
Unlike the original Galaxy Tab 8.9 that was announced at CTIA, this LTE variant has also got some upgraded specs like running Android 3.2 OS and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Rest of the features include a 3MP camera, 8.9-inches WXGA (1280×800) display, 8.6mm thickness and 455g in weight.
It sounds pretty solid, but Android really needs to kick it up in the tablet department. If you’re looking for a solid Android tablet, however, this looks like it could be a good, more portable alternative to the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Be sure to stay tuned next week as we bring you live coverage from the event, and hopefully more details on the new tablets and smartphones coming from Samsung.
