Not sure I understand the logic of comparing only iOS and Android in China. What about other platforms like Symbian? They gotta account for something as well. Anyway, guess Guohe Ad (the company behind the chart) decided to focus on two of the coolest platforms. Whatever the reasoning is, we like infographics and want to share them with you whenever we got a new one.

This particular infographics shows how Android and iOS are performing against each other in China’s mobile ad market. Some of the findings include:

  • 80% of all ad impressions come from 10 regions: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hong Kong, and others; with the top five regions covering the most prosperous areas of China.
  • iOS has the largest mobile app store, making iOS account for 58% of all ad impressions.
  • Leading Android phone makers include HTC, Samsung and Motorola.
  • Smartphones have larger click-through rates than tablets.
  • Mobile ad impressions on all tablet devices continues to increase.
  • Apple’s iPad accounts for more than 98% of total tablet impressions over the first half of 2011.

And now the infographics with all the details…
