Now that we know the launch date of the Motorola Droid Bionic, wouldn’t pricing for the device just make your day? Well, according to a leaked document from Best Buy, it’s been found. To sweeten the deal, there are also now reports that dummy units of the hot new handset have began to show up at Verizon stores already.
A Best Buy document just leaked, which pegs the pricing of the Bionic to be $299 on a new two-year contract for Verizon. Big Red’s LTE devices have usually been found at this price point but the Droid Bionic may actually be worth the three bills this time around. While the Charge, Revolution, and Thunderbolt aren’t necessarily bad phones in any way, the majority of people waiting for the Bionic was the fact that it would be the first handset to ship with a dual-core processor and LTE radio. This alone has kept the phone relevant, even after it’s been delayed and redesigned.
If you can’t do commitment, and don’t want to sign a two-year contract with Verizon, the Bionic will run for $699 off contract at Best Buy. Luckily, the off-contract pricing for the handset at a Big Red store should only be $589 off contract, so if you’re looking to stay away from the two-year contract, we’d suggest you head over to a Verizon store and not Best Buy.
Since the handset is expected to land next Thursday, it comes as no surprise that dummy units of the handset have began to appear at Verizon stores. Of course, it’s not the real deal but if since we’re just days away from the launch of the Bionic, real units should begin to pop up.
Now we have the date and price of the Droid Bionic, what more could a soon to be owner ask for?
