Speech technology company Nuance Communications enhanced its developer program, now called NDEV Mobile, which comes with new services that will “make it easier than ever for developers to voice-enable apps with Nuance’s industry-leading speech technology.”

The newly restructured program now has three tiers — silver, gold and emerald — to give “more choice and flexibility” to developers. Silver is the base partner level, providing access to text-to-speech capabilities in more than 30 languages. Gold offers access to SSL data encryption, “more deployment flexibility,” and enhanced support. Finally, Emerald is made to “meet the unique needs of NDEV Mobile community members looking for a truly differentiated speech experience on their apps,” and comes with access to a number of customization and service options.

Meanwhile, the Dragon SDK also got support for Windows Phone 7 in addition to Android and iOS, as well as an HTTP web services interface, and support for 8 additional languages, including Canadian French, Americas Spanish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Korean, Taiwan Mandarin, and Cantonese.
