The Motorola Atrix 2 was arguably the most exciting of the five new Android phones announced by AT&T and we just had to play around with the thing while we are at CTIA 2011 in San Diego.
The original Atrix was dubbed “the world’s most powerful smartphone” and the Atrix 2 continues Motorola’s recent history of smartly evolving its products. The overall design of the device has been tweaked and we think it’s for the better.
First of all, that ridiculous fingerprint scanner is gone and the angles of the Atrix 2 just make it feel better in your hands. Unlike other Motorola qHD displays, the Atrix 2 has a bright and beautiful 4.3-inch screen that doesn’t even show a single sign of being grainy.
You have a dual-core TI OMAP inside this latest Motorola device and the camera is able to do 1080p HD video recording. Motorola has tweaked it to have AT&T 4G but don’t get your hopes too high – this isn’t a 4G LTE device. The Atrix 2 will be landing for a very reasonable $99 and we’ll have a video up shortly.
Any of you going to nab this?
