Magellan RoadMate, the mobile navigation app for iPhone we’ve talked about before, has been recently updated with new features.
First, there are new, up-to-date maps on board, providing users with the “most accurate routes available.”
Second – red light and fixed speed camera alerts that help users avoid tickets. Additional alerts — including school zones, railroad crossings, speed bumps, and dangerous curves and intersections, speed traps and live traffic camera feeds — are available with in-app purchase.
Third, there’s the new Junction View with highway sign feature that presents a photo-realistic rendering of freeway interchanges, showing the correct lane a driver needs to be in to safely and successfully make the transition.
Finally, this new release allows users to choose between three new voice options for turn-by-turn guidance — all of which are also available with in-app purchase.
The USA version of Magellan RoadMate costs $39.99, while the USA/Canada app could be yours for $10 more.
