Social travel site Gogobot is going for the iOS users with their brand new app. Available as a free download, the application promises to “transform how we explore new places and capture and share our travel experiences.” By harnessing the power of your social network, you get to access trusted travel advice and share trip plans and rich visual travel memories.
That “rich visual travel memories” part is especially interesting, allowing you to create and share real-time digital postcards. Simply select your current location, snap a photo and choose from more than ten different styles and filters to transform a photo into geo-tagged digital postcard. Each postcard created is added automatically to your Gogobot Guide on Gogobot.com, creating a magazine-style spread to help you remember and share all of the places you’ve visited.
In addition, you can also use the application for “standard” features to find nearby restaurants, hotels and attractions and access personalized trip plans; as well as to share stuff with your buddies and followers on Facebook or Twitter.
