If you’re a) living in the UK and b) want to grab the Asus Eee Pad Slider – now’s your chance. The slider-shaped tablet with full QWERTY keyboard is now available from PC World and Curry’s for 429.99 GBP, which is an equivalent of about $688.
Kinda steep, but then again not any other device offers Honeycomb with a built-in keyboard. Sure there’s Asus’ other device (Transformer), which we love even more, but it doesn’t actually “integrate” the keyboard (if that’s something that counts in your book)…
I love Asus for experimenting with different form factors, but I’m not sure they have a winner with this particular tablet. What’s more, we know that the next Transformer will be launched soon, so I’m not sure that many folks actually want the Slider. If I were you, I would wait for one more month and then spend the hard-earned cash. In any case, the prices will go down as we approach the Christmas shopping season. 😉
