ASUS released a new software update for the original (not the new Prime model) Eee Pad Transformer tablet. Unfortunately this release doesn’t come with a brand new version of Android (4.0 – Ice Cream Sandwich) — rather, it’s a maintenance update that makes sure most of the things run even better. In other words, some of the bugs have been squashed, some apps updated and few things under the hood changed to improve the overall performance.
As usual, before pushing (tapping actually) the “Update” button, make sure your tablet is fully charged and that all of your key information is safely stored on your PC/Mac. If that’s on place, you’re ready to go.
Finally, if your Transformer still hasn’t informed you about the new software version, you are free to manually check for the update. Go to Settings, then About tablet and there you should see an option that allows you to do this. Good luck! 😉
